Monochromatic Morning: Brews & Oils

The most ordinary scene in any kitchen: kettles, jars, bottles of oil. The things we look at every day without ever seeing them. I kept the palette close to monochrome so the shapes and the morning light could do the talking.

Mixed media painting on paper, mounted and unframed. Acrylic, soft pastel and oil pastel.
Painting: 40 × 40 cm (15.5 × 15.5 in)
Mounted: 51 × 51 cm (20 × 20 in)
